Resident asks CDD to remove dead tree near 18906 Rolling Hills Loop

Tom Martin, a resident, asked the Heritage Pines Community Development District board at its Feb. 18, 2025 meeting about plans for the Rolling Hills Loop wetland and reported a dead tree at 18906 Rolling Hills Loop that has been standing for two to three years.
"Part of the natural wetland is being cleaned," Chair Kathleen Lonergan said, adding that the District Engineer coordinated with Environmental Solutions and that nothing larger than 5 inches in diameter can be removed without further determination. Lonergan said the engineer would need to investigate the exact location and would follow up with Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz.
Martin said the tree is an eyesore and asked whether crews would remove it. Lonergan cautioned that crews do not remove dead trees inside the wetland without the engineer's determination, and she instructed staff to investigate the site and report back. The board did not take formal action on the item during the meeting; the engineer's follow-up was the next procedural step.
