Selectboard member launches fire-service reimbursement working group

Selectboard Vice-Chair Peg Alden told the board she would like to form a working group to move forward on a Fire Service Reimbursement Ordinance, proposing to work with the Town Manager and Jeanette White on next steps. "Would like to work with Town Manager and Jeanette White to take next steps," Alden said.
Howard Fairman, speaking during public comment, suggested that members of the fire department should be involved in drafting and reviewing any reimbursement proposal. The board recorded the intent to proceed with Selectboard and staff collaboration; no final ordinance or vote occurred at the Aug. 6 meeting.
