Rusty Moore, chairman of the Alpine Emergency Services Board, told the council the volunteer fire department recently received an Insurance Services Office (ISO) rating of 3 — an improvement officials tied to training and equipment that can lower insurance premiums for homeowners and businesses. "Alpine Volunteer Fire Department just received a rating of 3," Moore said, adding that he was proud of the department’s training standards and recent audit completion.
