Columbia County said the agreement with Google and Georgia Power includes "strict non negotiable protections" intended to respond to community concerns about data-center impacts. "Some of those protections include strict decibel limits, lighting requirements, a minimal physical footprint, local water supply protections, and a plan for the site once it reaches the end of its lifespan," Hallie stated in the county's recorded message.
