Committee members discussed next steps tied to the roadmap: a potential comprehensive assessment of the high school’s building systems to identify retrofit opportunities that could complement roadmap recommendations, and a solicitation for solar power purchase agreement (PPA) proposals for the Fire Headquarters and Central Library. Chair Hasha said the roadmap support and building assessment would improve the town’s eligibility for state programs that fund HVAC and building-envelope work. The meeting record notes the high-school HVAC equipment is roughly 20 years old and may require replacement within the decade.
The committee did not vote on any measures because a quorum was not present; the written update and roadmap assistance were informational items intended to guide staff and subsequent grant requests.
