Weld County approved a contract to upgrade card-access security systems for the motor pool as part of building renovations, awarding the work to Long Building Technologies (Justice Systems) for $320,512.70 under a state cooperative contract.

Toby Taylor, Purchasing, told the commissioners the motor pool renovation requires a card-access security upgrade and cited the NASPO/State cooperative contract that allows purchase without separate competitive procurement. He said Long Building Technologies, doing business as Justice Systems Corporation, holds a state participating contract and staff recommended awarding the work for a total of $320,512.70.
