Staff recommended May 1 as the default opening date for Silver Lake next season, with the department monitoring early-spring conditions and the option to open earlier if weather and mud conditions allow. "We'd like to kinda stick to the May 1 date on paper," staff said, while noting a flexible approach around early April weather checks.
