Public works staff said the facilities leadman position (Jeff Kester's role) will likely become vacant in several months due to retirement and asked for authorization to begin succession planning and the hiring process when timing requires. "I'm just wanting to get the authorization as I get a formal time frame to make sure I work this through... so I don't get behind the eight ball," the staff member said.
