The mayor of Eufaula read a proclamation honoring Jerry Fink for “more than 50 years to journalism,” highlighting his bachelor’s degree in speech from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s in journalism from the University of Oklahoma in 1973. The proclamation praised Fink’s career for careful listening, thoughtful questions and reporting ‘‘with honesty and care,’’ and noted his coverage included major criminal trials and the Oklahoma City bombing.
