City administrator reports year-end processing, revitalization program work, and KDOT TA sidewalk RFQ planning

The city administrator updated the council on administrative tasks including year-end municipal software rollover, employee safety training on holiday and seasonal fatigue, and staff training with City Clerk Shyanne Powell. Staff are working to finalize interlocal agreements with Labette County and Labette Community College for the 2025 Neighborhood Revitalization Program.
On transportation planning, staff are preparing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for preconstruction engineering and project management for a KDOT Transportation Alternative (TA) sidewalk project; Southeast Kansas Regional Planning is assisting. A work session was tentatively scheduled for March 6, 2025, at 7:00 PM to review the RFQ.
