The board considered a variance request from Bexley code section 12.62 that would have allowed a smaller-than-permitted side-yard parking space at 43 South Cassingham. Staff recommended denying the variance, noting the proposed space was only about 6.8 feet wide and would leave no room for a driver to exit without stepping onto adjacent property. The staff recommendation asked that, if any parking were allowed, the pad remain gravel to avoid adding impermeable surface.
