Students pitch popcorn fundraiser to support Special Olympics and unified program

During the public‑comment portion of the July 21 meeting, Anastasia Kullindre and student volunteers presented a short update on Unified program leadership opportunities and a popcorn fundraiser scheduled for Aug. 1–2 at Wild Rivers to benefit Special Olympics and local unified programming at Tehachapi High School.
"My name is Anastasia Kullindre, and we're back as promised with popcorn for your movie," Kullindre told the board and explained that proceeds would stay in Southern California to support the district's unified program. She asked the board and community to use the QR code provided if they were interested in contributing. Board President Kaminski thanked the students for their presentation.
