The City of Sumpter council voted to implement a 5% increase in current sewer rates following prior discussion. Staff (speaker 5) moved "to increase the current sewer rates by 5% as per the previous meeting," and the council approved the motion; staff said the rate change would be reflected on August 1 bills and is effective as discussed beginning July 3.
