Board sets mowing plan, notes low event attendance, adjourns; next meeting Aug. 14
The board approved a mowing plan for Ashley and Strafford meadows, noted low attendance at recent events, announced an Aug. 3 program, and adjourned at 7:30 p.m. The next meeting is set for Aug. 14 at Morrill Library in Strafford.

The Ashley Community Forest Board agreed that Shawn Ward will perform mowing this summer using Annie Penfield’s mower; the group decided to mow the Strafford meadow and a path through the Sharon meadow to address brush resulting from recent logging. The board also noted low attendance at several recent events and announced a program by Dan Healey, "How trees work," scheduled for Aug. 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
