Commissioners approve amended EMT sponsorship agreement and note $50,000 allocation

Staff explained the earlier agreement had been titled as a reimbursement but that the county intended to pay upfront training costs for EMTs and paramedics and secure a three-year service commitment in Dearborn County in return. "This is money that council has set aside for the county to be able to pay the upfront cost for these training so that we can get more EMT training," staff said, noting the language was corrected to 'sponsorship and service agreement.'
