Astley summarized next steps for the project: VIA is to develop Phase 1 and 2 construction documents (windows/doors/envelope and HVAC), a Phase I environmental assessment is required before window work can proceed, and the team is pursuing additional funding including a potential VCHP ADA Modification Grant (up to $150,000) that could fund a LULA lift and other accessibility work. The memo accompanying the report estimates a 10–12 month construction schedule and divides cost responsibility into three buckets—construction, design and owner costs. The board recorded these timelines and the action items to have VIA deliver construction documents and to explore funding and fundraising options.
