Pocono Township votes to apply for grant to replace Staten Road bridge
The board approved a resolution to apply for a grant to replace (preferred) the Staten Road bridge after PennDOT inspection recommended repair or replacement; staff said the state waived the match for replacement.

Township staff recommended applying for a grant to replace the Staten Road bridge and said the state has waived the local match if the township receives funding for a full replacement. Staff advised including repair as an alternate in the application if the full replacement award is not available. The board voted to apply for the grant and indicated a preference to replace the bridge if the funds are awarded.
