Board sets 45/55 mph split on River Road after engineering recommendation
Following an engineering study, the board adopted a resolution to maintain a 45 mph zone on the southern portion of River Road and set a 55 mph zone north of that section; supervisors confirmed the required engineering study and approved the resolution (07212603).

The county engineer recommended that the southern portion of River Road (from Highway 169 northeasterly approximately 5,400 feet) remain signed at 45 miles per hour and that the roadway north of that point be established at 55 miles per hour. The engineer said an engineering study is required by statute before adopting or amending speed zones and confirmed such a study had been completed for this section.
