Committee sets November 30 checkpoints as multiple project extensions approved

The Community Preservation Committee approved extensions for multiple ongoing projects and set November 30 as a deadline for substantive updates on several large efforts.
Members discussed Tilden House Phase 2, where HVAC installation is nearly complete and floors are scheduled; the chair initially proposed an extension through fiscal year 2027, and the vice chair successfully amended the motion to require an update at the November 30 meeting. The committee passed the amendment by voice vote.
Separately the committee extended Cam Library Park Phase 1 and other legacy projects through November 30 (or through FY27 for some smaller items) and asked staff to provide monthly or periodic updates where appropriate. For the Pocketbook/Schoolhouse façade, the chair said the project must begin the preservation-restriction process required by the CPA statute before funds can be released; the committee set an August 24 check-in and asked for evidence that counsel has been engaged.
