The Akeley City Council approved Resolution 6-2026 on Jan. 14 to continue supporting the Hubbard County Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Prevention Program. City Hall staff reported the program’s hourly rate increased from $26.00 to $27.00; Akeley's contribution would rise from $1,196 last year to $1,242 this year. The motion to approve the contribution specified funds would come from the parks budget and passed on a council motion.
