Library Director Tara Engel told the council the library received a tub of supplies for a migratory bird program that includes binoculars, stickers and games, and a $500 allotment to use toward programming. Engel also reported she attended the Festival of Books in Spearfish on Sept. 27 and that author Emerson Park will give a talk on 'Secrets Maples Keep.' The library will host a guided painting tutorial on Saturday, Oct. 11.
The Library supply arrival and donation were presented as part of department head reports; no council action was required beyond acknowledgment in the minutes.
