Board members raised repeated concerns about the draft's allowance for "limited hybrid" designs, arguing an overly broad combination clause could permit incongruent or jarring results. "We don't want to see Frankensteins," consultant Bobby Boone said, and staff told the board they would aim to limit combinations to two of the town's identified styles and to use checklist scoring to reward applicants who stick closer to a single style.
