Facilitators led a prioritization exercise in which each councilor placed five green dots and then a reduced set of yellow dots to indicate priorities from a set of grouped topics. The voting revealed the strongest alignment on code review (including work already scoped with a consultant), infrastructure improvements (maintenance and drainage), and a formal strategic‑planning effort tied to budget and implementation metrics.
"If everything's important, then nothing's important," the facilitator said when explaining why the exercise forced prioritization. The facilitator said these results will be used as input for a written summary and recommended that staff return with costed options and implementation steps so council can convert the exercise into funded tasks.
