The presenter discussed revisions to DeKalb's ethics provisions, identifying the ethics code as "section 22a" and noting that the code has evolved and now includes an ethics officer and an ethics administrator created in recent changes. "The ethics code... has evolved over time," the presenter said, adding that the code protects tax dollars and addresses conflicts of interest and the appearance of impropriety.
