District reports special education, ELD, TAG and student‑support program updates
Summary

Eric Palacios presented the Student Services report, saying the district completed the Oregon Department of Education cyclical monitoring (Cohort B) and submitted corrected JEPs and documents. Palacios described the process as a professional development opportunity and said the next monitoring cycle will occur in 2026–2027.
Palacios and staff reported multiple program updates: in‑person speech therapy has resumed; 15 students (11.36%) exited the ELD program this year after adoption of the Systematic ELD curriculum and five days of staff training; TAG planning includes a universal screener for second graders in October; the migrant education program serves about 15–16 students annually; and McKinney‑Vento services support approximately 40–45 students.
