District reports special education, ELD, TAG and student‑support program updates
Dayton School District No. 8 reported completion of ODE cyclical monitoring for special education, adoption of a new ELD curriculum, TAG screener plans, and McKinney‑Vento and migrant program caseloads. The district noted resumed in‑person speech therapy and plans to strengthen secondary ELD supports.

Eric Palacios presented the Student Services report, saying the district completed the Oregon Department of Education cyclical monitoring (Cohort B) and submitted corrected JEPs and documents. Palacios described the process as a professional development opportunity and said the next monitoring cycle will occur in 2026–2027.
