Airport Manager Dee Meadows told commissioners the current window tint at the Waycross–Ware County Airport is torn and missing in spots and requested approval to replace the tinted windows and add tint to other windows at a cost of $7,284.00. Meadows said the tint would allow staff to keep blinds open so they can see runways and would help cool the building. He told the board he contacted two other vendors but Crystal's Tint Shop was the only company to respond.
Meadows said the funds to pay for the project would come from revenue generated by fuel sales at the airport. The item was placed on the regular meeting agenda for formal consideration; no vote occurred at the work session.
