Commission reappoints Patrick Simmons to Ware County DFCS board

County Manager James Shubert told the commission that Simmons’ term expires June 30 and that “Mr. Simmons is willing to serve another five-year term beginning on July 1, 2026 and expiring on June 30, 2027.”
The motion to reappoint was made by Commissioner Barry Cox and seconded by Commissioner Jon Tindall; a roll call vote recorded ayes and the reappointment carried. The appointment was placed on the agenda as part of routine business and no public comment or debate on the nomination was recorded.
