The Rangely Town Council voted to approve an application to the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (Division of Housing) for a $50,000 predevelopment grant to support the Rangely Duplex project. The council's approval covers a predevelopment request for three lots; the town manager said the request includes earlier expenses such as an appraisal and closing costs but that the grant maximum is $50,000 and the town expects to spend little or no additional town funds.
Council also approved a letter authorizing Interim Town Manager Lisa Perring to be the town's authorized officer and signatory for the grant application and agreement. Todd Bank moved the authorization and Sean Morgan seconded; the council recorded the motion as carried. The council noted the town will seek reimbursements through grant processes where applicable.
