On July 14, 2026, the Custer County Board of Supervisors authorized a $1,000,000 transfer from the county Inheritance Fund to the Custer County Highway Department. The motion was made by Supervisor Parliament and seconded by Supervisor Govier and recorded as Ayes–All.
