Altamont Fire Department plans structure training, seeks AFG amendment and requires NIMS/ICS certifications

Assistant Chief Richard Haywood outlined plans for a structure fire training exercise, saying the department has been offered use of a house within its response district and will use it for a controlled burn or live-structure training when weather permits. He said the training will particularly benefit junior firefighters by giving practical experience in a controlled environment.
