Linda Conlon told the committee that the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will no longer offer PFAS testing and provided instructions and deadlines for residents who received testing letters.
"Residents who received a testing letter and want to participate must pick up their testing kit by July 26 and return it by no later than August 2," Conlon said. She added that Oneida County has not identified large PFAS impact areas like Stella but that detections are scattered across the county and that UW has invited some residents to participate in a research study that may include blood and water sampling.
William “Casey” Crump noted a planned PFAS update meeting for Stella in September and staff indicated a meeting notice and the final DNR testing report will be shared when available.
