The Enumclaw City Council approved Resolution 1881 on June 22 to authorize how previously approved parade funds will be spent for the July 4 events.
Parks staff reported the resolution would allocate the $15,000 already authorized by council: $8,500 to purchase barriers lining the parade route, $2,500 to cover overtime for six additional city staff, and $4,000 to the Chamber of Commerce for hiring security and event staffing. Parks staff recommended approval and answered council questions (Parks Director Lina Hicks S3).
Council moved, seconded and passed the resolution by voice vote during the meeting. Staff said the funds had been authorized earlier and this action formalizes the distribution for operational needs of the event.
