Community Development Director Richard Osborne reviewed proposed text amendments to Dawson County Code Chapters 6 (Alcohol Licensing), 30 (Business Licensing), 42 (Street Naming and Numbering), and 121 (Land Use). The Planning Commission had previously held a first hearing on Feb. 17, 2026.
Commissioner Alexa Bruce moved to table the item; she later amended her own motion to set the new tabling date as April 16, 2026. The amended motion passed 4-0. The minutes note removal of Section 30-68 from the original draft during staff review and indicate the matter will return to the board at the April 16 meeting.
The board did not take final action on the ordinance language at this meeting; staff will provide revised language and any analyses ahead of the next scheduled hearing.
