County library to be offline during database migration July 27–Aug. 4; full services resume in August
Lake County Library staff said a core database migration will make the online catalog view-only July 27–Aug. 4 and suspend new card issuance and returns processing; library staff expect most services by Aug. 5 and full restoration by Aug. 23.

Christopher Veach, county librarian, told the board the library is migrating its core catalog platform and that certain services will be temporarily impacted from July 27 through August 4. Patrons will still be able to access ebooks and third-party apps (Libby, Hoopla) but the online catalog will be read-only and the system will not process new cards or returns during the migration window.
