Chair Ed Walsh told the board that a Transfer Station employee found battery‑powered tools missing from a work table and that the tools appear to be in good condition with a replacement value around $200. The board debated whether it was worth filing a police report and agreed to first put the word out and start with staff storage improvements and asset marking.
Selectman Tom McGurty suggested cameras could be considered given recurring issues, and Mr. Winchell asked whether Wi‑Fi was available at the Transfer Station; the Town Administrator confirmed Wi‑Fi access in the facility. The board directed staff to encourage secure storage and marking of tools and to report back if problems continue so that additional security measures can be evaluated.
