Public Works reports 8% water loss and recent leaks

Public Works Lead Andy Ridinger told the council the master meter data show an 8% water loss and staff identified two additional leaks in July; sludge-depth testing was completed and will be provided to Civil West Engineering.

Public Works Lead Andy Ridinger reported routine monitoring of well levels and said no curtailment action is required at this time. After a month of readings from the new master meter at the water plant, staff calculated customer usage versus water produced and found an 8% water loss, which Ridinger described as acceptable under waterworks standards.
