"The face pieces currently in use were purchased in 2014 and exceed the 10 year warranty and standard replacement guidelines," Ms. Farag said, and staff warned that delaying replacement could trigger maintenance costs exceeding $500,000 per year.
All project costs were programmed in FY27 and staff recommended approval; the committee recorded a 3–0 assent. The replacement is intended to maintain safety and reliability for structural firefighting operations and to ensure warranty and lifecycle compliance for SCBA equipment.
