Council adjusts Planning Commission terms as city updates development code
With seven Planning Commission terms expiring on Dec. 31, 2025 during a development-code update, the council agreed to reappoint longer‑serving commissioners to one‑year terms and to give newer commissioners two‑year terms if they wish to continue.

City Recorder Michelle Connor told the council that, because the city is in the middle of updating its Development Code, all seven Planning Commission terms inadvertently align to expire on Dec. 31, 2025. To maintain continuity while the code update proceeds, Connor said the council decided that commissioners with more than two years' service who wish to stay on would receive one‑year reappointments; newer commissioners who wish to continue would receive two‑year appointments.
