CDD files Lee County NPDES Cycle 4 Year 7 report; staff to continue into Year 8
Johnson Engineering reported that Lee County approved the NPDES Cycle 4 Year 7 Annual Report and it will be submitted to FDEP before the Nov. 1, 2024 deadline; because a new permit's timing is unclear, staff were instructed to continue compliance into Year 8 and monitor potential future changes to sampling requirements.

Mark Zordan of Johnson Engineering presented the Lee County NPDES Permit FLS000035-004 Cycle 4 Year 7 Annual Report, saying Lee County had reviewed and approved the report and it will be submitted to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection ahead of the November 1, 2024 deadline. He told the Board that the new permit for which the district may need to apply is anticipated in the fall but its release date is unknown, so staff were instructed to continue compliance into Year 8.
