Staff proposes fence-code changes to reduce variance burden, retain complaint-based enforcement

City planning staff proposed three text amendments to the fence ordinance—corner-side-yard flexibility, restoration of some pre-2023 front-yard allowances, and an interior-side-yard safety provision—and said enforcement will remain complaint-based while Planning Commission review is scheduled for Aug. 10.
