Kent County committee elects prosecutor Chris Becker as chair
The three-member Kent County Sheriff Appointment Committee elected Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker as chair following a nomination from Chief Probate Judge Avery Rose. The committee then appointed the county clerk as secretary to manage applications and minutes.

The Kent County Sheriff Appointment Committee voted to name Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker chair after a nomination from Chief Judge Avery Rose. "I would I would nominate, mister Becker to serve as chair," Rose said during the meeting, and the nomination carried after members voted; the chair then assumed the gavel.
