Giles County Sheriff Joe Purvis briefed the Legislative Body on a new work‑release partnership with American Magotteaux. Purvis said each participant will pay $10 per day to the Sheriff's Department to offset transportation and lunch costs, $2 per day will go to the Victim's Fund, and 25 percent of a worker’s pay will be applied to Giles County court debt such as fines and fees. Purvis told commissioners he is starting the program with two inmates.
