Tecumseh board accepts resignation, approves multiple hires and contract extensions

Under the personnel consent calendar approved June 30, the board accepted the resignation of Jennifer Metz-Fischer, librarian at Tecumseh High School, effective June 24, 2026. The personnel motion also approved classified hires (for example, Jeweliann Billingsley as a lunchroom monitor at Donnelsville Elementary, effective Aug. 13, 2026, Step 1, $15.20) and other new support staff with step-start pay rates.
The board approved one-year administrator contract extensions for Jay Burkholder (Donnelsville Principal) and Karyl Strader (Park Layne Principal) for 8/1/26–7/31/27; and multi-year classified administrative contract extensions for Boyd Barger (Maintenance Supervisor), Anne Carter (Child Nutrition Supervisor) and Veronica Cassidy (Network Admin/Technician) through 6/30/29 where specified. Supplemental assignments, extended-time stipends for guidance staff and stipends for substitute custodian and paraprofessional orientation were also approved in the same motion.
