Council approves Ordinance 932 to amend vendor-permit rules; Resolution 355 to be updated

Attorney Clay Kuhns presented Ordinance 932, amending Article 1 of Chapter 5 of the City Code to regulate solicitors, canvassers, and peddlers; after discussion the council approved Ordinance 932 on a motion by George Lucas, seconded by Brian Kroth. Kuhns also clarified language regarding fees tied to an accompanying Resolution 355; the council asked staff to update Resolution 355 to reflect rebate language for vendors who complete permits prior to setup and to present the revised resolution at the next meeting.
