Speaker 2 reported that the probation analyst position remains vacant and that the department has scheduled second interviews and expects to hire within the next week or so. “We still have that position vacant. We have a couple 2nd interviews today, so hopefully in the next week or so we will hire an analyst,” the speaker said.
Members said hiring an analyst is a priority because the role would allow more robust reporting on the realignment population and cash-flow scenarios that inform fund-balance decisions. Several members volunteered to help craft criteria and modeling for the subcommittee once the analyst is in place.
What’s next: Probation to complete interviews and announce the hiring decision; new analyst will support subcommittee data requests and budget modeling.
