Council approves settlement agreement with developer and neighbor after executive session

Joanna said the parties had signed an agreement and that the city's remaining role is to approve and execute its part; she emphasized that the agreement contained no monetary obligations for the city.
The council recessed for a 10-minute executive session under the RCW executive-session statute to discuss litigation with counsel and returned to the dais, where a motion to approve Resolution 1883 and authorize the mayor to execute the settlement agreement was made, seconded, and approved by voice vote. "None of which are monetary on the part of the city," Joanna stated while describing the settlement terms and staff review.
