City adopts ordinance creating electric-motorcycle code chapter; committee asks to publicize training

The council adopted Ordinance 2839 on second reading to add a new chapter addressing electric motorcycles in the Enumclaw city code. A committee review raised no objections other than a request that any training be publicized to the community.
"Committee had no objections to it other than asking for training to be publicized," a council member said during committee reporting; council then moved and approved the ordinance on second reading by voice vote. The ordinance text as read by the city clerk states it establishes a new chapter to govern the use and operation of electric motorcycles and sets an effective date.
