Finance Director Kristen Reed presented the second reading of Ordinance 2841, the city's first 2026 budget amendment. Reed said she made small changes between readings, including adding $35,000 for two digital reader boards paid out of the street fund and an internal transfer to keep the IT fund within policy allocations.
Reed also noted that Fund 35 (the Facilities Fund) will see its reserve balance fall below the city's reserve policy as a consequence of the amendment. The Finance & Technology committee recommended approval; council moved, seconded and approved Ordinance 2841 on second reading by voice vote.
Reed remained available for questions and staff were instructed to follow up where necessary; no roll-call vote was recorded in the meeting transcript.
