Mayor Pro Tem Duane Crouse told the council he attended a Flood Authority meeting where members discussed studies of the Newaukum River, specifically near the Rush Road bridge, and possible grant applications to support that work. He said the Law & Justice Council also discussed a potential public safety tax to address budget shortfalls and suggested Napavine coordinate with regional partners for a unified position.
