Housing authority to present plan to county council and form three subcommittees
Summary
Staff will present an updated strategic plan to county council on the 24th. The authority assigned members to three subcommittees (voucher/subsidy; budget/revenue; education/advocacy) and asked each subcommittee to prepare 2–5 tasks with deadlines for the next four months.
S1 told the board that she and community development director Peter Barnes will brief the county council next Wednesday on differences between the county’s Strategic Plan 2035 and the housing authority’s work plan. "We're going to council ... an update on strategic plan 2035 plus our plan," she said, and sought the board’s direction on which strategies the authority should pursue.
The board then split into subcommittees for the meeting’s final portion. S1 explained the three subcommittees — voucher/subsidy, budget/revenue, and education/advocacy — named members and asked each group to draft a short roadmap of goals and deadlines to share before the October meeting or the council retreat.
